COVID-19 FAQs – Spring Hill, TN
Caring for Your Smile in These Critical Times
The COVID-19 outbreak has changed our world. It has even had a deep impact on your dentist in Spring Hill. While we are proud to continue to look after the oral health needs of our precious patients, we have made some significant policy changes with the aim of helping to slow the spread of the coronavirus. On this page, you will find answers to some frequently asked questions about how we are responding to COVID-19.
What Protective Measures Do You Have in Place?
We have always been diligent about keeping our office clean. Now, we are more serious about it than ever before. We are implementing recommendations from the American Dental Association, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and other professional organizations on how to stop the spread of contagions. For example, we are cleaning and disinfecting all high-touch surfaces as often as possible.
Additional measures we are taking include:
- Providing additional personal protective equipment for staff members
- Increasing our use of protective plastic barriers
- Using high-efficiency suction to control the spread of aerosols
- Conducting infrared temperature checks on team members
Do I Have to Wear a Mask in the Office?
The CDC is urging everyone to wear face coverings when they are in public places. In accord with that guideline, we are requiring all of our visitors and patients to wear a mask while they are in their office (unless, of course, you are being treated in our operatory). Homemade cloth masks, N95 masks, disposable masks, and bandannas are all acceptable types of face coverings.
When Can I Get an Appointment?
We place a high value on our patients, and we wish for all of them to receive care in a timely manner. However, we are enforcing limits on the number of our patients who can be in the office at the same time. We are also leaving more time between appointments so we have can keep our environment as clean as possible. Additionally, please keep in mind that we are doing our best to catch up on treatments that had to be postponed when our office was closed. We kindly ask that you are patient with our team as we work to arrange our schedule in a way that keeps everyone safe and healthy.
Can Someone Come with Me to My Appointment?
In order to comply with social distancing protocols, we ask that no one accompanies you to your appointment unless it is absolutely necessary. For example, you may need someone to serve as your driver if you will be sedated during your treatment.
Are You Performing All Types of Treatment at This Time?
All our patients’ dental needs are extremely important to us. While we strive to comply with social distancing, we know that some treatments, including those carried out by an emergency dentist in Spring Hill, can’t wait. We are also caring for less urgent cases at this time. When you call to request an appointment, tell us what you need, and we will schedule your visit accordingly.
